May in the south can be a bit unpredictable. Rain, heat, the variables are endless! York and Amanda took it all in stride and their warm sunny wedding day was perfect! The venue was extra special, as it has been Amanda’s home for the past few years. The endless green grass, beautiful trees, and lovely fields were a wonderful backdrop to their special day.
Amanda looked beautiful every moment of the day – even while getting ready!
I loved her shoes! They matched the wedding perfectly.
She had plenty of ladies to help her get into her gorgeous gown – she definitely chose the right one!
Amanda requested the back porch for their first look, and it was such a great choice.
York’s first look at his new bride was priceless!
York and Amanda spent a few moments together before we began their portraits.
York was easily able to get Amanda to laugh – I loved her natural reaction!
Amanda’s bouquet was one of my favorites! It was gorgeous.
I knew York would be easy to photograph, too – these photos turned out exactly how I pictured they would!
I’m so thankful the neighbor let us borrow her gorgeous field for a few shots!
York and Amanda chose a GREAT bridal party of friends and family who supported them throughout the wedding day. The kiddos were some of the best I’ve seen on a wedding day!
I’m so glad Amanda had these gorgeous balloons on hand for photos! We had a fun time experimenting with them (and untangling them:))
York and his dashing groomsmen were very cooperative for their photos!
Amanda added so many personal touches to the wedding day. I especially loved the suitcase for cards and the beautiful silhouette portrait!
This Toomer’s Oak fingerprint guestbook looked fabulous! This was towards the beginning of the day – it was filled to perfection by the end. This will be a lovely treasure for their new home.
Amanda’s sweet grandmother walked her down the aisle.
Even though he’d already spent a few hours with his bride that day, York was overcome with emotion as they prepared to say “I do” for the rest of their lives! Such a touching moment!
I loved the tree they chose to get married under! It also provided a bit of shade before the clouds came back.
These beautiful hand-painted 1 Corinthians 13 “Love” signs were such a unique touch to the aisle.
I also loved the chalkboard wedding program! It had such a pretty design.
York and Amanda exchanged rings…
Before the “life-changing smooch!” – and let me tell you, it was a good one :)
They couldn’t contain their happiness as they walked down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. Smith!
The reception also had such sweet personal touches. This was one of the best candy bars I have seen at a wedding! The York peppermint patties were so clever!
York and Amanda cut the cake before they and their guests dove into the delicious dessert reception! Brownies, lemon bars, oatmeal cream pies, cobbler, ice cream, and some of the best punch I’ve tasted! These two know the way to a photographer’s heart ;)
Their bride and groom table was simply precious!
The couple said their goodbyes before running off to St. Augustine for their honeymoon!
Congratulations, York and Amanda! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful, special day. I am so impressed by the love and support you have from everyone around you, and I wish you the best as you begin life together as husband and wife.
