It’s hard to believe it’s been five months since their engagement session, but it has been, and Emily-Anne and Alex are married! Emily-Anne and Alex met as students in the Auburn University music department, specifically they were in the same section of the marching band. They got engaged this past summer and a January 7 wedding could potentially be a problem depending on the football team’s success. Fortunately (for them!), Auburn fell short of the national championship, and the date paid off for them! After a few days of very wintry weather, a beautiful blue-skied day greeted them for their wedding at Lazenby Farms. One of my favorite details was Emily-Anne’s beautiful veil, which was made with details from her mother’s wedding gown! See below for some more sentimentality…
From her lovely rose-gold rings to her “borrowed” pearls, I loved Emily-Anne’s wedding details!
In addition to her veil, part of her mother’s gown was used as her bouquet wrap. Isn’t her bouquet fabulous? She made it herself!
Emily’s mother helped her get dressed in the front room of the beautiful old home on the Lazenby Farms property.
She had a wonderful group of ladies to help with the finishing details of getting ready.
The beautiful antique couch is a lovely spot for photos in the home, as well!
Emily-Anne requested their first look take place by this fun chandelier outside the home… Alex was floored when he saw his lovely bride!
Despite the strong winds and sub-freezing temperatures, Emily-Anne and Alex smiled throughout their time together outside.
Emily-Anne and her two brothers have a special relationship, and it was such a joy to be there as they saw their “little” sister for the first time on her wedding day!
Alex’s groomsmen were a fun group and appreciated the excuse to keep their hands in their pockets to keep them a LITTLE warmer.
Can you tell how loved Emily-Anne is? She’s a wonderful friend to all these ladies.
We took one last photo before everyone was able to escape back inside. This group was so cooperative throughout the cold temps!
The room was full of Emily-Anne and Alex’s closest friends and family.
Emily-Anne’s father performed their wedding ceremony.
Emily-Anne and Alex had a fun Auburn-inspired guestbook canvas they’ll be able to display in their new home!
If you haven’t noticed, the theme of their wedding was lights. Emily-Anne had beautiful themed centerpieces throughout the room.Their cake table was quite the stunner! I loved their bride/groom combination cake.
Their cake cutting was definitely one of my favorites! So fun.
The couple celebrated with their guests throughout the evening before they were sent off with sparklers!
What a perfect day! Congratulations, Emily-Anne and Alex! Thank you so much for asking me to be your photographer and being so wonderful along the way. I’m so happy for you!
