The Stables at Russell Crossroads Wedding – Dadeville, AL – Emily & Garrett

Emily & Garrett were married on a lovely May evening at the beautiful Stables at Russell Crossroads surrounded by their supportive family and friends. Despite a rainy afternoon, they were able to step outside throughout the day for portraits, and their time inside was full of laughs and joy while they got ready.

The day went by smoothly with thanks to Julia with Julia with As Needed.

Emily’s beautiful veil was made from lace they bought during their trip to Italy last year. Not only was it beautiful, but perfectly sentimental.

Emily and the ladies got ready in the bridal suite of the stables.

The rain began shortly before we’d scheduled their first look to begin. Fortunately, the stables has plenty of covered areas for photos with lovely natural light and also shelter from the rain.

The rain did make the first look a bit more complicated, but we were able to get them both in place before they saw each other.

Garrett’s reaction was so sweet! They spent a few quiet moments together before we began their portraits.

Golden Crown Flower Shop did an amazing job with all the floral designs for the day.

We had a nice gap in the rain and we were able to take a few bridal party images outdoors with beautiful backlighting near the horse fields.

They had to make the call to hold their ceremony indoors the night before, and it was certainly the right call! Although it wasn’t the outdoor ceremony they envisioned, the setting was absolutely perfect.

Following a beautiful ceremony, Emily and Garrett were introduced and we took advantage of the golden hour sunlight to take a few photos while their guests started enjoying the delicious buffet from Savoie Catering.
