I first met Danielle in preschool. She remembers coming to my house for pizza. I don’t, but in 5th grade when we reunited at Jefferson Elementary School, that connection was enough to make us best friends. And also because we were third cousins…ish.
Although we’ve grown apart, we still have a special connection. I met Brad once while they were dating, and it was so exciting to hear they were engaged.
They got married in the church Danielle grew up in. This stairwell had a great window shining in so that I could get a great shot of her dress.
Danielle chose not to have a bridal party, so getting ready had a different feeling than most weddings. She did have two attendants, and so it was more intimate than usual. It was an honor to be there for that part.
Brad is a really great guy, and I know how much he cares for his wife. This spot was a perfect place for a photo of him.. if he had hair, it wouldn’t be near as good!
Danielle and Brad chose to have a First Look, which I HIGHLY recommend. They got to have some moments together in the sanctuary before we began photos. Although the day was a bit behind (what wedding isn’t!?), we still had plenty of time for photos of them and their family before the ceremony.
I just LOVE fall colors. Even better is Danielle’s grandmother’s car that they had their getaway in.
Danielle later told me she thought I was crazy when I put her in this pose. She ended up liking the photo, and I’m glad because it was one of my favorites!
Danielle planned a beautiful wedding day… I’m so glad I got to be a part of it!
