A wedding two days after Independence Day with a military groom means one thing – beautiful patriotic American wedding details! One clear thing that sets this couple apart is their name. That’s right, their name. They are both named Jordan! This fun quirk brought some enjoyable moments to the wedding day – especially during the vows! Jordan and Jordan took the day in stride and were such a joy to work with. The day went by smoothly and they finally were able to tie the knot. I’m excited to share some moments from their day with you!justin bridal boots with veilJordan’s bridal boots were such a personal touch to her ensemble!wedding dress hanging from barnYou’d never know it, but the videographer Summer and I waited a good deal of time for a tiny cloud to come by and provide some shade under the arbor for this shot. We had about 10 seconds of shade – so not much time to compose and shoot! bridal wedding detailsbride getting ready next to windowJordan’s mom helped her with the finishing touches on her dress next to this lovely window light.

I’m kicking off a series of posts highlighting sessions and weddings from the past few years that I haven’t had time to share online yet! Our home life has changed drastically in the last 3 years and I tried to focus on quick client delivery and less on my social media posts.

This first wedding is a special one for me – one of my childhood friends, Eden, gave me the honor of photographing her non-traditional wedding! She and JJ had a small, private ceremony with their families before celebrating with a slightly larger group. We took a few moments to take portraits of just the two of them between the events on a warm July afternoon.
