For a couple that met and fell in love at Auburn University, what could be more perfect than a wedding on Samford Hall? Lee and Nora, although living outside of Auburn, knew there was only one place for them to get married. Their wedding was held on a beautiful Saturday in April and was full of joy, fun, and lots of Auburn touches.
Lisa Thorne of Thorne & Thistle extensively prepared for their ceremony location and designed their gorgeous wedding arch!Lee and Nora got ready just steps away from their ceremony location in the beautiful Auburn University Hotel.
The detail on Nora’s gown was so lovely!
Of course, no Auburn bride could get married without her “something blue” shoes!
I couldn’t get over the view Nora and her bridesmaids had of Samford Hall from their suite!
Nora had a lovely team of ladies helping her with her “finishing touches” before she went over to see her groom for the first time!
It was so sweet to see them together for the first time on their wedding day! Despite being at a busy location on campus, they had several moments of complete privacy to talk and spend time alone before the hustle and bustle began.
This was probably shortly after Lee told Nora it might be best to continue with photos and let the puppy keep walking by! Nora could hardly resist!
Lee and Nora’s close group of friends were with them every step of the day, having fun and lending a hand when needed!
A special spot for Lee and Nora was Toomer’s Drugs, where they spent many a lunchtime eating together. Of course, we had to stop by Toomer’s Corner for a few photos!
Katy Blackburn and her staff from Make It Perfect Events kept the day running smoothly and efficiently! Wedding coordinators allow the bride and her friends and family enjoy the day, while the coordinator takes care of the details. Katy did a great job, and it makes my job easier, too!
Unfortunately, my blog isn’t letting me upload the photo of the whole ceremony no matter what I try! Be sure to stop by my Facebook page and see that image, posted shortly after their wedding. The ceremony was a stunner!
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
Their reception was held in the lovely light and airy Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, also on the Auburn University campus. Thorne & Thistle created an amazing setting for Lee and Nora’s guests!
The evening began with Lee & Nora’s first dance on the patio.Cakeapotamus created Nora’s beautiful (and delicious!) bride’s cake!
We spent a few moments on the grounds of the museum as the sun was setting… what an amazing venue!
The Emerald Empire Band kept everyone dancing and having fun throughout the night!
Nothing would complete the night better than a good War Eagle send-off – complete with Auburn shakers!
Congratulations, Lee and Nora! Your wedding was a beautiful compilation and celebration of your love story. Thank you for asking me to be your photographer! I wish you the best as you begin life as Mr. and Mrs.
