Saturday morning, sweet Blakeley was planning to meet her Big at Big Blue Bagel in Downtown Auburn, little did she know, she would finish the morning with a ring on her finger! Ty called me planning an exciting proposal in front of Samford Hall the morning of the Mississippi State-Auburn football game. Unfortunately, Samford is undergoing quite a bit of extensive renovation right now, so we did some talking and decided upon the new Toomer’s Corner gateway into Auburn. It turned into the perfect spot!
I loved Ty’s beautiful setup for the proposal – especially the vintage suitcases!
Ty had even arranged for their friends and family to hide across the street in front of Ware Jeweler’s.
After meeting at Big Blue, Blakeley’s Big gave her a box from Ty. It had instructions for where to meet him – just down the street at Toomer’s Corner! Fortunately, we could see Blakeley make her way from Big Blue.
It just melted my heart to see Blakeley’s emotion!
Ty wasted no time in getting down on one knee and asking the big question…
Of course, she said yes!
One of my favorite moments of the day was after she said yes… everyone that had been hiding cheered so loud! It was an exciting moment. I loved Blakeley’s friend sprinting over from behind the bushes in the photo on the left.
It is truly AMAZING to me that this many people were able to keep a secret! They were able to hug and celebrate with Ty and Blakeley at Toomer’s Corner after the proposal. Many, many people walked by and congratulated the happy couple!
Many of Blakeley’s ΑΟΠ sisters were there, as well.
Of course, we took some time to get a few photos of Ty and Blakely together.
Blakeley allowed me to take a few photos of her beautiful new ring! Ty had even brought her a bouquet of roses!
Thank you, Ty and Blakeley, for allowing me to be a part of this special moment for the two of you! Best wishes as you begin planning the rest of your lives together. War Eagle!
