I love seeing an incoming phone call from a guy I’m guessing is calling to schedule a proposal – and when I saw Nathan’s name, I just knew. He planned such a creative and beautiful way to propose to his girlfriend. They’ve been living across the country from each other for most of their relationship, and so he flew in that afternoon, completely unbeknownst to her!
Becky’s sweet friend Bailey was the key player in making this proposal successful – and she did great! They went out for dinner before Bailey suggested a walk around the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art in Auburn. Becky is an artist and the Museum is gorgeous, so Nathan picked the perfect location to propose!
This was Becky’s first reaction – it definitely caught me off guard how surprised she was! She thought they had stumbled upon SOMEONE ELSE’S proposal! She was telling Bailey they needed to leave!
Eventually she noticed Nathan and Bailey convinced her this proposal was for her! I love a good surprise, so this was wonderful!
Nathan set up his message in individual letters with candles down the sidewalk, where he was waiting at the end.A quick hug and conversation after being apart for so long, before getting down to business…
She said yes!
We took some photos afterwards to celebrate, but these photos don’t accurately convey the setting. It was mostly them talking and planning with a few photos thrown in. They were so excited and glad to be together!
Her beautiful ring! I love how unique it is. Nathan did a great job choosing the perfect ring for Becky.
Congratulations, Nathan and Becky! I hope the next nine months of planning are blissfully beautiful for the two of you!
