When Kate and I first spoke, I couldn’t have imagined the beautiful setting she and her parents would have planned for her wedding! Their home near Auburn was the perfect location for she and BJ to tie the knot in their October wedding ceremony.
Her dress was perfect for her! I love when brides find a dress that fits them *just right*! Out of all the wedding dresses in the world, this was the one for Kate!Kate’s aunt Tamera with The Caines did a STUNNING job with the florals! There were beautiful arrangements everywhere you looked.
Stephanie Wilson-Treadwell did a GREAT job with Kate’s makeup.
Heather Baker from Tiger Lily Salon in Auburn also did a wonderful job with Kate’s hair. Kate was so relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the day/afternoon getting ready. I love that her hair and makeup artists came on site – I think that helps the day go smoothly!Kate had a wonderful team of ladies to help her get ready for the big day! It was extra special, because she was able to get ready in her bedroom of her parents’ home.
I loved this spot near the window for some beautiful light on this beautiful bride!
BJ got ready nearby at Kate’s grandparents’ house. These cufflinks had special meaning to him, and I love the photos my assistant Jessica took!
Fall was just starting to emerge in Auburn, but I thought Kate’s back yard had the perfect amount of fall touches for these photos!
Kate and her ladies looked so lovely! The colors she chose complimented each other so well. Kate and BJ chose not to see each other before the ceremony, so we hid Kate away and took a few photos of the guys outside as well! BJ and his guys looked so sharp!
After photos were completed and guests began arriving, Jessica and I took that opportunity to get a few photos of the reception area. Katy Blackburn of Make it Perfect Wedding Event Planning did a great job coordinating the day and putting all the details together. As always, The Event Group provided great rentals as well!
Finally, it was time for the ceremony! Kate and BJ were finally able to see each other. Kate’s father did a wonderful job creating the ceremony location!
How beautiful was the moment when Kate’s dad moved her veil back? So lovely!
The moment when BJ had a little bit of difficulty getting the ring on was humorous for all! Kate’s sweet dog was an angel during the ceremony.
I LOVED Kate and BJ’s wedding kiss! Such a happy moment!
Introducing Mr. and Mrs. McWhorter! Congratulations!
Kate, BJ and their bridal party headed up to this perfect field near the entrance to the property. The sun was starting to go down on a overcast day, so we were able to get these beautifully lit photos! I love how they turned out.
Kate and BJ hadn’t seen each other all day, so they had plenty to chat about!
I bumped up the ISO and took a few naturally lit photos before we went back to the house so Kate and BJ could celebrate with their friends and family!
Kate had a special surprise for her dad for their first dance song. She remembered him telling her throughout her childhood that the Big Bad Wolf song was her parents’ song. It was a fun, sentimental song that provided lots of smiles and howls!
BJ and his mother shared a very special dance before the guests went in to enjoy a delicious meal!
Cakes by Tania did a great job making Kate and BJ’s wedding cake!
Thank you, Kate and BJ, for allowing me to capture your wedding day! It was such a happy, stress-free day. I hope you had a wonderful honeymoon in beautiful Georgia!
